Every day we hear of tales of rip-off garages, but I would like to tell you about a garage who recently gave me first class service above and beyond the call of duty. As reported in the news, Bognor Regis was hit by a tornado at the end of last year, followed by flooding. In the midst of this chaos, the MoT became due on my 1987 3.5 Efi Range Rover.
On arrival at Paul Rutter's workshop at Pagham, I could see that Paul, a first-class Land Rover engineer and mechanic had troubles. His workshop was under 15 inches of water, and various items had started floating out of the doors into the flooded fields nearby. However, rather than cancel the MoT, Paul donned his wellies and, once he'd made sure the electricity was safe, put my Range Rover on the lift.
It was a strange sight watching him working away, water lapping over the tops of his boots, various articles floating around, and Classic FM playing on the radio. I left the garage in a courtesy car and returned the following day to find a newly MOT'ed vehicle and a very reasonable bill. And what's more, Paul was still smiling. Now thats what I call quality service.

Decided to take my Land Rover Freelander in to Paul Rutter as I was tired of paying through the nose for the nearest dealer (who is some thirty miles away) to do my annual service and MOT. Certainly got the feeling that Paul and his staff are knowledgeable about Land Rovers - MOT and service completed quickly and efficiently. Will definitely return.

We had a problem with our Range Rover over the Easter bank holiday. Paul came out to us with a fuse to get us up and running. Unfortunately this didn't work, so Paul very kindly offered to take our car in and had it up and running straight after the holiday. He also let us have use of a car which was a life saver! We were very impressed by his kindness and efficiency and will always use him in the future.
