Paul began working at the Rover Company's Solihull factory in 1959. His department was responsible for the preparation and testing of vehicles loaned out to the various motoring journalists of the time and for special events. Within two years he'd moved on to the Engineering Department where he was part of the Experimental Team and later, when the Competitions Department was formed, became assistant to the competitions manager. He left the Rover Company in 1965 to start his own business and now specialises in servicing, repairs, restoration and sales of Land Rovers and Range Rovers.
